Special Pick-Up Collection

Special pick-ups are items which require special handling, such as appliances, furniture or items which will not fit in your green roll-out. 

City Residents are required to contact the Public Works Department and make arrangements for a special pick-up BEFORE placing items curbside.  There is a charge for this service.

Failure to make arrangements for collection BEFORE placing items out is a violation of the city ordinance and will result in a $25.00 administrative fee, in addition to the special pick-up charge being added to your water bill.

Special pick-up charges vary, please call the public works customer service dispatcher at 229-259-3590 regarding fees and/or any other related questions.

NOTE:  City residents are no longer allowed to drop-off items at the Lowndes County dump.
