The Community Development Department is under the direction of Mr. Mike Martin.
Our Services:
The Community Development Department strives to ensure the highest quality of life through effective and efficient use of the Comprehensive Plan, Land Development Regulations, City Codes, Building Codes, and Property Maintenance Codes. Collectively, the Department assists property owners in utilizing their property in a manner that contributes to the highest standard of excellence for community development.
Our Divisions:
The Department consists of the following three divisions:
Community Protection: This Division is responsible for ensuring compliance with all City Codes and Land Use Ordinances
Development Services: This Division is responsible for all aspects of construction and property development. This Division also serves the City of Hahira and the unincorporated areas of Lowndes County
Planning and Zoning: This Division is responsible for implementing the Comprehensive Plan and local Land Development Regulations. It also completes special projects relating to short and long term community planning. This Division also serves the City of Hahira.
