June 21 Happy first day of summer. Summer is the warmest of the four seasons and generally when water consumption is the highest. The City of Valdosta is under a Non - Drought Schedule for Outdoor Water Use. Under a non-drought schedule, outdoor water use is allowed three days a week on assigned days using odd and even-numbered addresses.

Odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Even-numbered or unnumbered addresses are allowed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Water use may occur at any time of the day on the assigned days, but to be water efficient, landscape watering should not occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information about your city water, visit the Utilities Department web page at http://www.valdostacity.com/Index.aspx?page=134.
June 22 The City of Valdosta and Steeda Autosports will display the new Valdosta Police Department “Steeda-ized” vehicles in the parking area of Steeda Autosports, at 2019 Steeda Way, from 10 a.m. to noon, on Tuesday, June 22. June 24: Mayor John J. Fretti and members of the City Council invite and encourage citizens to attend City Council meetings whenever possible, because good government depends on the interest and involvement of citizens. A City Council meeting will take place Thursday, June 24, beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the second floor council chambers of City Hall. City Hall is located at 216 E. July 4: The annual Spirit of America fireworks show in Valdosta will take place on Sunday, July 4, beginning at 9:30 p.m., for the Valdosta-Lowndes County community.
