The City of Valdosta works closely with Lowndes County Emergency Management and other local municipalities and governments to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a host of potential hazards and threats that may affect the citizens of our area. The city urges all citizens to have a family and/or business emergency plan and to communicate these plans with your family members and coworkers. Visit the Georgia Ready site for valuable information about being informed, making a plan and staying involved. Visit www.weather.gov/tae for updated information about weather in our area.
Citizens are urged to sign up for Code Red, the emergency alert system facilitated by Lowndes County, to receive emergency information via your phone.
