Road Improvement Projects
The City of Valdosta resurfaces city streets using funds provided by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) and SPLOST VII.
H&H Paving will begin the 2017 LMIG Resurfacing project on Monday, April 30th. The resurfacing may take as long as 5 to 6 months to complete; weather permitting. Residents will have access to and from their home at all times. Please use caution while driving through these areas and pay attention and obey construction signs at all times.

Standard Contractors will begin sidewalk construction during the week of April 16th. The work will begin on Lee Street between Gordon Street and Ora Lee West. Lane closures should be expected during this construction phase. The work will include 1200 linear feet of sidewalks, driveways and relocation of mailboxes. It will include curb and gutter work. The work will take approximately 60 days to complete. Weather permitting. Citizens will have access to their properties at all times. Please use caution and follow all traffic and safety rules while in the area.
