The City of Valdosta resurfaces city streets using funds provided by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) and SPLOST VII.
LMIG 2016 Resurfacing will begin on Tuesday, February 28th. The following link below is the order in which the contractor will begin resurfacing. The resurfacing may take as long as 4 to 5 months to complete; weather peremitting. Residents will have access to and from their home at all times. Please use caution while driving through these areas and pay attention and obey construction signs at all times.

Rountree Construction will begin sidewalk construction work on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 on Griffin Avenue. The work will begin at S. Patterson and stop at the intersection of Ulmer Avenue. Lane closures should be expected during this construction phase. The work will include new 5 feet sidewalks, driveways and relocation of mailboxes. It will not include any curb and gutter work. The work will take approximately 60 days to complete. Weather permitting. Citizens will have access to their properties at all times. Please use caution and follow all traffic and safety rules while in the area.
