Due to high water conditions, the City of Valdosta and Lowndes County have rescheduled the 6th Annual Mayor and Chairman’s Paddle to Saturday, April 19, 2025

Join Mayor Scott James Matheson and Chairman Bill Slaughter for a beautiful paddle down the Withlacoochee River! Choose your route:
A relaxed three-mile trip for a laid-back adventure
An 11-mile paddle for those seeking a longer journey

📍 Location: Troupville Boat Ramp, 19664 Valdosta Hwy, Valdosta, GA 31602
🕗 Arrival Time: As early as 8 a.m., no later than 9 a.m.

🚐 VLPRA will provide shuttle vans
💙 Valdosta Boys & Girls Club will bring youth & boats
👏 Special thanks to Phil Hubbard for leading & Phil Royce for sweeping

🔹 What to Bring:

  • Personal flotation device
  • Boat, paddles, food, and drinking water
  • Warm clothing and a first aid kit
  • Trash pickers & bags to help keep our waterways clean ♻️
