Municipal Code, Ordinances, & International Property Maintenance Code


An Ordinance is a local law or regulation that is generally passed by a legislative body (City Council) and signed by a City executive (Mayor). An Ordinance is subsequently enforced by the local Police or Code Enforcement Official (City Marshal).

Code of Ordinances

The City of Valdosta's Code of Ordinances was codified by the Municipal Code Corporation located in Tallahassee, Florida in 2007. There have been six Supplements to the Code which includes Ordinances through 2020. International Property Maintenance Code

The City of Valdosta has adopted, for enforcement, the latest edition of the International Property Maintenance Code (Chapter 18 - Buildings and Building Regulations, Article II - Construction Codes, Section 18-41 - Adopted).
