Aerial Training at Grand Bay Range, Mar. 18

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. - U.S. Air Force F-15s, F-16s, A-10s, CV-22s, HH-60s and potentially other aircraft will be conducting aerial training at Grand Bay Bombing and Gunnery Range beginning Mar. 18, 2016 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Excess noise that may be heard throughout Valdosta and surrounding areas is due to the training that is overseen by Moody range control specialists.

Military personnel regularly use the range and its surrounding airspace Monday to Friday during various hours for tactical air and ground maneuvers as well as weapons training. The U.S. Air Force Reserve also uses the range and airspace on specified weekends.
