City of Valdosta Adjusts Power Meter Installation Permitting Fees Through November 1st
The City of Valdosta is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, permitting fees for power meter installations are being adjusted through November 1, 2024. This temporary adjustment applies to all residents seeking power meter installations within the city limits.
The fee adjustment is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to reduce financial strain on the community as it recovers from recent storms and weather-related disruptions.
"Our goal with this adjustment is to support residents during a time when many are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene," said Rick Mefford, Inspection Manager for the City of Valdosta. "We want to make the process of restoring power as smooth and affordable as possible."
Please note that residents or businesses who have already paid the power meter installation permitting fees prior to this announcement will not be eligible for reimbursement.
