City of Valdosta Swears In Two New City Marshals
The City of Valdosta recently welcomed two new City Marshals during a swearing-in ceremony held on July 27. Municipal Court Judge Jeremy Baker administered the oath of office to Charles Nevlous and Scott Brady, marking the beginning of their service to the City.
As a City Marshal, Charles Nevlous will assist in enforcing municipal ordinances, supporting code compliance efforts, and helping maintain the safety and order of the community. His role will involve working alongside City departments to ensure local regulations are upheld and residents continue to receive effective municipal services.
Scott Brady was sworn in as Plumbing Inspector/City Marshal, serving in a dual capacity that combines inspection responsibilities with the duties of a City Marshal. In addition to assisting with ordinance enforcement, Brady will oversee plumbing inspections and support utility-related operations, helping ensure infrastructure is installed and maintained in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
City Marshals play an important role in supporting the daily operations of local government by working across departments to promote compliance with city ordinances and assist with a variety of municipal responsibilities.
