Valdosta Main Street Welcomes Cameron Harris as New Main Street Coordinator
Valdosta Main Street is pleased to announce Cameron Harris as the new Main Street Coordinator. In this role, Harris will support downtown revitalization efforts, strengthen partnerships with local businesses, and help advance initiatives that promote economic growth and community engagement in the heart of Valdosta.
Harris brings experience in economic development, downtown revitalization, historic preservation, and stakeholder engagement. Most recently, he served as Community & Economic Development Director for the City of Pelham, where he partnered with the Downtown Development Authority and community stakeholders to attract investment, oversee grant-funded projects, and lead initiatives designed to strengthen the downtown district. His background also includes public engagement, heritage trail development, and event coordination.
As Main Street Coordinator, Harris will work alongside downtown merchants, property owners, community partners, and City leadership to support business development, promote events, and enhance the vibrancy of Valdosta’s historic downtown.
“Cameron’s background in economic development and downtown revitalization makes him a strong addition to the Main Street team,” said Patrick Pearson, Main Street Manager for the City of Valdosta. “He understands how important relationships, collaboration, and strategic planning are to the success of a downtown district. We’re excited about the leadership and energy he brings and look forward to the impact he will make supporting our businesses and community.”
Valdosta Main Street is committed to fostering a thriving downtown district through preservation-based economic development, strategic partnerships, and community-focused programming. The addition of Harris further strengthens these efforts as downtown Valdosta continues to grow and evolve.
