Georgia Power Final Construction Work to Impact Traffic in Downtown Valdosta

The City of Valdosta is notifying residents, businesses, and motorists of upcoming final construction activities by Georgia Power Company in the downtown area over the next four to eight weeks.

Construction work will take place along:

Hill Avenue

Central Avenue

Center Alley (between Ashley Street and Patterson Street)

During this time, traffic control measures will be in place, and motorists should expect:

Temporary lane closures

Changes in traffic patterns

Temporary disruptions to alley access

Drivers are encouraged to use caution, follow posted signage, and allow additional travel time when traveling through the affected areas.

This work represents the final phase of Georgia Power's downtown infrastructure improvements. The City appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents, businesses, and visitors as these important upgrades are completed.
