Take time to review the Plan Submittal Requirements prior to submitting plans. Projects classifications include:
Basic Plan Review
Designed for new construction and/or minor changes to the inside or outside of a building. Examples include, but not limited to, handicap ramps, removal or installation of non-load bearing walls, installation or removal of serving counters, etc. This also includes projects that are under 5,000 sq. ft. and less than 3 stories in height.
Plan Review Requiring A Design Professional
Intended for in-depth commercial construction projects greater than 5,000 sq. ft., more than three stories in height, or occupancy classifications such as Assembly, Daycare, Educational, and/or Institutional.
Regardless of the classification, plans must be submitted/approved through iWorQ.
Plan Review Time Frame
Our goal is to complete the review process quickly, but thoroughly. It is essential to submit complete and accurate plans for review. The plans will be routed to each department for approval and/or comments and revisions may be required before the plans can be approved. A permit can be purchased once the plans have been approved by the Building Official.
