Overview
This position performs technical and customer service operations in support of the Community Protection Division
- Provides customer service; answers telephone and greet visitors; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel; takes messages and makes appointments
- Prepares public notices.
- Prepares letters, memoranda and other correspondence.
- Prepare/file lien cancellations.
- Performs related duties.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of modern office principles and practices.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Knowledge of department and city policies and procedures.
- Skill in the operation of computers and other standard office equipment.
- Skill in planning, organization, and decision making.
- Skill in the preparation of reports and the maintenance of files and records.
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
